SOL: Hambrienta

I remember the days when you would
Play outside in the rain
Coming home covered in dirt
I wonder when you got so hurt that
Your body started to change
Tell me how to go back
I’ve got my palms on your face
Screaming my prayers into an
Unrelenting gaze, I don’t want the same fate
I spent thirteen long years trying to change the
Way my body would curve and
It’s a twisted escape from reality, babe
Standing in front of the mirror cursing the
Way your naked skin behaves
It is only a trick that the tired mind plays
